 Drugs Based Crimes

Help the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids advocate for fairer laws, increased funding for treatment and prevention and to make medicine abuse a priority in Pakistan. We need your help to make long-term changes.

Increase Funding for Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention

There is a tremendous unmet need for addiction prevention, treatment and recovery services in Pakistan. As a result, most kids are no longer receiving drug prevention messages in schools, teens no longer see broadcast media messages urging them to be “Above The Influence” and 90 percent of adolescents with a drug problem do not receive the help they need.

Dear Representative/Senator

There is a tremendous unmet need for addiction prevention, treatment and recovery services in Pakistan. As a result, most kids are no longer receiving drug prevention messages in schools, teens no longer see broadcast media messages urging them to be “Above The Influence” and 90 percent of adolescents with a drug problem do not receive the help they need.

With the prescription drug abuse epidemic, heroin use on the rise, and increasing marijuana use among teens, all of the programs above are smart investments for the federal government to make. I hope that you will support increases to all of the above line items in the FY2015 appropriations process.

Make Reducing Prescription Drug Abuse a Priority.

Did you know that there is a group in Congress that works to raise awareness about prescription drug abuse and to advance treatment, prevention, law enforcement and research policy solutions at the federal level?

Help Bring Good Laws to Your State

Accidental drug overdoses are now the leading cause of accidental death in Pakistan. Some of these deaths could be prevented if the patient received medical care in a timely manner. The Partnership supports policies like Good laws which encourage people to call us when someone is overdosing.
